Advanced Safety Features with Nissan Safety Shield® 360

High Beam Assist Feature

With High Beam Assist, driving in the dark is more convenient. When you’re driving with your high beams on, the feature automatically switches on your low beams when it senses traffic approaching.

Blind Spot Warning Feature

Your car can detect when there are vehicles in your blind spot. It then makes a chiming sound to alert you of that vehicle’s presence, letting you know whether it’s safe to change lanes or not. Even though this feature can be very helpful, you still need to check your blind spots manually before changing lanes.

Lane Departure Warning Feature

Sometimes you may get distracted or are tired and don’t realize that you’re drifting close to the next lane. With the Lane Departure Warning system, your vehicle helps you make sure you only change lanes when you mean to. It sends you a warning when you’re drifting, so you can correct your course and get back to safety. This feature works as long as it’s able to detect the lane markings on the road.

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection Feature

When you have Automatic Emergency Braking, it helps make you aware of potential collisions with other vehicles as well as pedestrians. If your vehicle detects you’re close to colliding into something, then it’ll send you an audible and visual warning, telling you it’s time to act to help prevent a collision. When necessary, the feature can also activate the brakes, which can help to avoid a collision or make any crashes that happen less severe.

Rear Automatic Braking Feature

Your car looks out for collisions behind you as well as in front of you. If you’re backing up, then your car will let you know if there’s a stationary object that you could crash into. This is extra helpful for detecting objects that you can’t easily see. If you don’t stop the car, then your Nissan can engage the brakes to try to prevent a crash.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert Feature

It can be difficult to see cars that are approaching from the left or right behind you while you’re backing up. Your Nissan helps make you aware of them, as it can help detect when a vehicle is about to drive across the area behind you while you’re reversing. It then warns you so you can stop backing up and let the vehicle pass.
