The 2025 Nissan Murano represents a bold step forward in crossover SUV design, blending sophisticated style with advanced technology. This completely redesigned model delivers a premium driving experience through its revolutionary exterior design and features.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new Murano is available in three trim levels: SV, SL, and Platinum. A striking redesign brings LED headlights and daytime running lights for an unmistakable presence day or night. At 78 inches wide, this new generation brings a more commanding presence to the road.
The SV starts strong with 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels featuring distinctive aero covers. The SL features the same wheels but adds gun metallic aero covers. It also adds a panoramic moonroof that bathes the cabin in natural light. The range-topping Platinum elevates the exterior with premium 21-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and power-folding exterior mirrors for added convenience. This top-level trim adds a motion-activated liftgate for hands-free access to the cargo area.
With 14 exterior color choices, including new Aurora Blue Metallic and Champagne Silver Metallic, drivers can select their preferred style. Two-tone color options become available, starting with the SL trim, for more personalized styling.
Engine (Power)
Each trim level of the 2025 Nissan Murano features a new 2.0-liter variable-compression turbo four-cylinder engine, delivering 241 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 260 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. This advanced powertrain replaces the previous V-6, trading a small decrease in horsepower for improved efficiency. The engine is paired with a responsive nine-speed automatic transmission for engaging gear changes and impressive performance.
Front-wheel drive comes standard on the base SV trim, and all-wheel drive remains optional. The SL and Platinum trims feature standard all-wheel drive, providing confident handling and enhanced traction across various weather conditions.
Performance
Significant chassis improvements result in more precise handling and a smoother ride quality. The independent strut front suspension and independent multi-link rear suspension work together with the electric power-assisted steering to deliver responsive control.
The Intelligent Trace Control and Active Ride Control systems use brake actuated technology to enhance stability. With an estimated 0-to-60 mph time of between 8.0 and 8.3 seconds, the Murano provides adequate acceleration for daily driving needs. A 1,500-pound maximum towing capacity adds practical utility when needed.
Interior
Dual 12.3-inch high-definition displays accentuate the thoroughly modernized interior. The digital dashboard incorporates color-shifting graphics that create an upscale, technology-forward atmosphere. The SL and Platinum models feature sophisticated 64-color ambient lighting that transforms the cabin atmosphere.
The SV and SL trims feature leatherette seating, while the Platinum elevates the experience with premium semi-aniline leather upholstery. All trims include heated front seats, with the Platinum adding ventilation and massaging functions. Cargo capacity remains practical, with 32.9 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 63.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
Safety Features
Advanced driver assistance technologies protect all occupants. ProPILOT Assist with lane centering comes standard on the SV trim, while the SL and Platinum models upgrade to ProPILOT Assist 1.1 with navigation integration. This enhanced system can automatically adjust speed for curves and changing speed limits, providing more sophisticated driving assistance.
The HD Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor, available on SL and Platinum trims, offers comprehensive exterior visibility when maneuvering. Standard intelligent safety features across all trims include forward collision warning, lane intervention, and blind-spot intervention. Invisible Hood View technology helps drivers navigate tight spaces with confidence, while automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection provides additional peace of mind in urban environments.
