2023 Nissan Versa

The Nissan Versa stands out in the sedan market, providing drivers with a budget-friendly, fuel-efficient, and comfortable ride. For the 2023 model year, the Versa received a few updates. The SR has a newly designed grille and new wheels, and the top two trims have some new tech features and a newly standard safety system. Trim Levels (Exterior)

The entry-level Versa S comes with 15-inch steel wheels, power windows, automatic on/off halogen headlights, and intermittent windshield wipers. Stepping up to the SV adds to these features with body-colored mirror caps, and body-colored door handles. It also upgrades to 16-inch alloy wheels. The top-level SR comes with 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, fog lights, and a rear spoiler. This trim also has a dark chrome grille and black-painted mirror caps.

Engine (Power)

Every Versa uses the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 122 horsepower and develops 114 pound-feet of torque. The base S model comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, but you can opt for the CVT that comes standard with the SV and SR. All trims come with front-wheel drive.

Performance

This sedan smoothly accelerates, and the CVT mimics gear changes to give it a more traditional feel. The suspension does an excellent job of smoothing out rough pavement, and it has a responsive steering system and strong brakes. It is also fuel efficient. The Versa's small size makes it easy to maneuver in small spaces, and it will slip into tight parking spots, making it ideal for urban driving and running errands around town.

Interior

There's room for up to five people in the Versa, and it has comfortable seats in both rows. The S has a height-adjustable driver's seat and a folding 60/40 split rear seat in models with the CVT. The SR adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and offers the option for the Convenience Package with heated front seats and automatic climate control.

Tech features in the Versa include a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless charging, three USB ports, and a four-speaker stereo. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come in the SV and SR, and these also get satellite radio. The SR also upgrades to a six-speaker stereo.

Safety Features

Every 2023 Nissan Versa comes with a full suite of air bags, a rearview camera, and traction and stability control. It also has several advanced driver aids, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. The SV and SR come standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360. This bundle includes a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, and the SR offers adaptive cruise control.
