2023 Nissan Pathfinder

Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder comes in five trim levels: the S, SV, SL, Platinum, and the new 2023 Rock Creek model. Most models are 2WD with the option of upgrading to 4WD. Four-wheel drive comes standard in the Rock Creek model. Any model you choose will come with dark-painted or machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, UV-reducing solar glass, and rear privacy glass. Additional options include a motion-activated power liftgate, panoramic moonroof, and roof rack.
Engine (Power)
The Pathfinder comes with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission, providing 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. If you choose the Rock Creek model, you'll jump to 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The Pathfinder has some of the best towing capacity in its class, hauling up to 6,000 pounds with ease, which is more than enough to tow boats, cars, campers, and trailers.
Performance
Nissan built the Pathfinder for driving in difficult conditions. Specifically, the Rock Creek model features an Off-Road Tuned Suspension. If you choose the 4WD option for any model, it will be sufficient to get you through mud, snow, and mountain roads. All 2WD models come with five drive/terrain modes, and you'll have seven modes if you opt for 4WD. The nine-speed automatic transmission has a manual mode, and all models have steering wheel paddle shifters. This roomy and powerful SUV is also fuel-efficient, averaging up to 27 highway mpg in some models and about 22 mpg for most driving.
Interior
The Pathfinder's roomy cabin comfortably seats seven or eight people, and the second-row bench in most models comes with the EZ FLEX system. The EZ FLEX system has a one-touch release that allows the bench to fold down and slide forward to give you easy entry and exit to the third row. The SV, SL, and Platinum also have the option to add second-row captain's seats with a removable center console, and both are standard for the Rock Creek.
Behind the bench seats, 16.6 cubic feet of space is available for cargo, which increases to 80.5 cubic feet if you fold down both the second and third rows. That is enough cargo space to haul 4x8 plywood sheets flat on the floor.
Two highlights of the Pathfinder's interior are the 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display on the center console. An impressive 10.8-inch head-up windshield display is standard for the Platinum.
Safety Features
All models come with automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beams. Most models include ProPilot Assist or ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, a semi-autonomous driving mode that allows the Pathfinder to accelerate, steer, and brake under certain conditions. All models come with an advanced air bag system, front and rear crumple zones, and reinforced passenger compartments.
